This past month I have attended 2 events where I got to have my photo taken with some of my favourite characters. I attended the Houghton Feast and got to meet with Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter.
I also went to visit the Sunderland Illuminations and they have a Doctor Who section, I saw the Tardis, Daleks and other characters. When I visited the Illuminations I also went down on the seafront, the photo below is me and my friend on the beach on the evening.
Last weekend I went to the Stephenson Railway Museum with my family. While I was there outside the museum I found an Arty Rock. There is a new craze going on in Tyneside where people paint rocks with different designs and hide them around the area. I decided to keep this one as it was special as the first time I found one and it said I could keep it. There are some rocks though that ask you to re-hide. I really love this idea and have been inspired to maybe try painting some rocks myself to hide for others to give them a smile. The photo below shows the underneath of the rock with its message.
My big sister Sara has set up a Photography Page on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/saraheraouaphotography/ She has took quite a few photos of me for a portfolio. I have previously shared some of the photographs she has published of me before but thought I would share some more. The photograph above is me in front of the lake at Mowbray Park in Sunderland.
I attended an event at a local cinema in May this year, I got to have my photo took with lots of different Cosplayers. I love Star Wars and there were a few Star Wars Characters there. I also love Doctor Who and got a photograph taken with a Dalek.
Earlier this year I took part in a ceramics class. I have already posted about some of the things I made, but somehow forgot about the leaf bowl one. So this post is about the leaf bowl I made in February. It is on display at home with some lovely pot pourri in it.
The collage below shows the steps in making the design. I used an actual leaf to imprint the design onto the clay and then cut out the shape. I used a plastic bowl lined with newspaper to place the clay leaves in and layer them carefully to form a bowl shape. I love the autumn yellow colour that it became after painting it.
My previous post was a Harry Potter Craft, this was another one that I did at my Guides group. A Golden Snitch made from a Ferrero Rocher chocolate.
This was an easy craft, involving some printed out wings, you could use your own design and one Ferrero Roche chocolates. You remove the small sticker, using glue stick glue on the wings and then place the sticker over the middle like shown in the photo.
If you don't already know, I am a Harry Potter Fan. I was so excited that my Guides group are doing Harry Potter themed events. One of the crafts we did was make a Sorting Hat with chocolate.
To make this you need:
1 Ice Cream Cone
1 Digestive biscuit
1 Paper Cake case
1) Place the biscuit onto the paper case.
2) Place some melted chocolate onto the biscuit;
3) Then place the ice-cream cone onto the biscuit.
4) Then you pour melted chocolate all over the cone and biscuit, so it looks like a pointed hat.
5) You can add sprinkles if you wish for extra taste.
The photo above shows that I have already started adding some sand and shows me taking off the paper to add more colours. You have to do it a step at a time, and you choose the design and colours you want.
I have recently been attending Comic Con events doing cosplay as Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I have shared some before when I shared a post about the Harry Potter Wand I made for the costume. Here are some photos of me dressed up at events.
